The French musician David Fresquet studied at the Conservatoire Supérieur in Paris and the Conservatoire National Supérieur in Lyon. He then continued his studies in Holland, where he studied under Emmanuel Abbhul (Rotterdam Conservatory) and in Belgium, at the Brussels Royal Conservatory, under the guidance of Paul Dombrecht.
He has been with the Orquestra Clássica do Sul since 2003 (started with Orquestra do Algarve), as Soloist A, and is frequently invited to perform at the European Mozart Festival (Warsaw, Poland) and the Nurenberg Opera House in Germany. Throughout his career to date, he has played with several orchestras: Radio Symphony Orkest (Belgium); Radio Kamer Orkest (Holland); Nederland Ballet Orkest (Holland); and the Rotterdam Philharmonic. He has performed under the direction of some of the world’s best conductors, including Tom Koopman, Franz Brüggen, Valery Gergiev, Sir Colin Davis, and Ralph Rütter, among others.
