Ivetta Natzkaya was born in St. Petersburg Russia and started playing the violin at age 7. She got her bachelor's degree from Mussorgsky College of Music in St'. Petersburg and Master's degree in violin and viola from The Boston Conservatory, USA.
While attending the Conservatory, she was appointed Principal Viola in the Boston Chamber Orchestra with which she performed as a soloist twice. Ivetta holds the second prize from Settimane Lugano Solo competition in 2000. Upon graduating form the Conservatory, Ivetta won her first full time job as a tutti player in the Singapore Symphony where she also performed regularly in Chamber Music concerts.
While in Singapore, Ivetta was a finalist for the Principal Viola position in the Singapore Symphony. After return to the US in 2004, Ivetta freelanced with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Colorado Springs Philharmonic and was appointed Principal Viola in the Lancaster Music Festival in Ohio.
She joined The Orquestra do Algarve (today Orquestra Clássica do Sul) as a full time member in December 2007.
