PhD in Education Sciences, she is a Full Professor and member of the Faculty of Human and social Sciences of the University of the Algarve.
With more than 30 years of university teaching experience, her curriculum includes lecturing in Language and Culture, Research Methodology, Cultural Management and Communication courses, both at undergraduate and graduate levels. She has supervised more than twenty master dissertations and Phd thesis, as well as several post-graduation projects. As a researcher, she is the author of 7 books and has published extensively in national and international scientific journals.
Among the institutional positions held throughout her career, besides the direction of master and PhD degrees, she was Head of the University of the Azores’ Educational Department, President of the Scientific Committee of the FCHS, and Pro-rector for Culture, at the University of the Algarve.
Since 2009 she is the President of the Associação Musical do Algarve/Orquestra Clássica do Sul.
