WITH THE SOUND OF A TUBA | Tavira [Archive]
Regular Programme

#OAINSPIRA

In this concert, soloist Sérgio Carolino once again joins our orchestra, this time to work with the wind instruments. In a quirky and original programme, we will experience works from the repertoire, such as Vaughan-Williams' tuba concert, as well as discovering some of the sonorities of our time.

A unique composition by Jean Françaix will be performed which, in the form of a waltz, goes through a number of European hymns, praising European identity and its spirit of cohesion.

This concert also represents Sérgio Carolino's second stint as artist-in-residence for the 2023-2024 season.
